Aerodynamics save power as well as fuel. The Freight Wing System™ will, in effect, add about 7 free horsepower to a tractor. That means you have more available power for climbing hills, increased top speed, and faster acceleration. Handling is also improved by reduced susceptibly to crosswinds. Saving power also decreases the demand on engines, lowering manifold pressures and operating temperatures, which results in reduced maintenance costs and longer engine life.

No matter how aerodynamic a cab, air still enters the gap between the tractor and trailer to hit the trailers front face directly, especially in cross winds. The Freight Wing Gap Fairing™ solves this problem by protecting the top and side edges of the trailer’s face with curved airfoils. It is the only gap fairing that is specifically designed for use with modern aerodynamic tractors that shield the center of the trailers front face. It also works great with traditional cabs. The Gap Fairing provided an additional 2% fuel saving when tested with the Belly Fairing in SAE/TMC J1321 tests. With today's fuel prices, a 2% savings is well worth going the extra mile.
