Freight Wing Incorporated was formed by mechanical engineer Sean Graham and businessman Patrick Bigatel to improve fleet profitability through innovative aerodynamic devices. Freight Wing™ was initially funded through a U.S. Department of Energy Inventions and Innovations grant to develop rear fairing technology, and has since expanded the company’s products to a complete line of aerodynamic solutions. Due to the unique look and the nature of Freight Wing™ products, a subsidiary called Clean Air Advertising™ was formed in 2003 to market and sell truckside advertising. Clean Air Ads™ now represents “the world’s first advertising medium that helps save the environment”, as each sponsored trailer prevents up to four tons of emissions annually. In 2004, Freight Wing™ completed its final product testing and is now selling nationally to fleets looking for innovative ways to reduce their fuel costs, lower emissions and improve their public image.
